Health Education

Health Education in Science relates to teaching Family Life/Human Sexuality and HIV/AIDS.  The curriculum used for these classes are from the BCPS Health Education Department, Office of Prevention Programs — http://www.browardprevention.org/

Family Life/Human Sexuality is taught at the elementary level and HIV/AIDS, as part of the science curriculum, is taught at the middle school level.  Teachers must be certified in order to teach these health-related curriculum and parent permissions must be provided prior to teaching the applicable class.  Health-related curriculum at the high school level is taught by the PE department (754-321-1871).
