DETA

Participants in DETA use technology to improve student achievement in core curriculum areas; learn strategies for integrating technology that can be incorporated into daily practice; and learn how to use new technologies such as Internet-based curriculum and digital tools. Participants in DETA create lessons or projects demonstrating the integration of digital strategies and resources into core curriculum areas; which then can become a best practice Unit or Lesson in B.E.E.P. We don’t want administrators to feel left out and encourage them to sign up for DETA for Administrators.

Successful completion of DETA I is a pre-requisite for taking DETA II

Participants will also receive a digital “toolbox” of resources. Participants of the Digital Education Teacher Academy II (DETA II) will have the opportunity to engage in cooperative, collaborative activities to explore data driven decision-making strategies for integrating multimedia resources into constructivist project-based learning. This course provides a systematic introduction to the theory and practice related to designing, developing, implementing and assessing multimedia-infused 21st century learning environments for K-12 education.
